Renovating My Childhood Home for My Kids—Need Help Finding a Good Estimating Co

[Mitchel Anderson]

A few months ago, my kids insisted that I bring our old family home back to life—the one I grew up in. It’s full of memories, creaky floors, and charm that you just can’t recreate. So, I finally decided to start the renovation process.

For the plumbing part, I’ve already gotten a solid estimate from this trusted company: https://plumbingestimator.us/commercial-ductwork-installation-cost/ and I’m really happy with their accuracy and professionalism.

However, I’m still struggling to find a reliable company that can help me estimate the rest of the renovation costs—like electrical, roofing, flooring, and general repairs. I want to avoid surprises and plan the budget properly, but so far, haven’t found a service that covers everything else with the same level of trust and detail.

If anyone knows a good company or platform that offers accurate full-house renovation estimates (besides plumbing), please let me know. I’d really appreciate your suggestions!

Renovating a childhood home for the next generation often brings up practical questions around cost, timelines, and choosing the right specialists. Bathrooms usually sit high on the priority list because they affect daily comfort and long term value, and working with experienced bathroom experts can make the estimating process far more accurate from the start. Clear breakdowns of materials, labor, and design options help avoid surprises and ensure the renovation supports both family needs and future plans.
